Sea Level is located just before reaching Atlantic in the nothern part of "Downeast" and was historically called Witt. Sea Level features a full-service banking facility for area residents. The community also has an extended care medical facility, doctor's office, and a pharmacy. Snug Harbor, located along Nelson Bay in Sea Level, is a first rate retirement community for retired seamen. The Snug Harbor facility has wonderful maritime artifacts and art and may be toured by appointment. Fishing, kayaking and swimming are favorite pasttimes. Camping facilities for RVs and those with tents are available at the Sea Level campground which features a swimming pool and boat ramp.
